Why extend coverage for healthiest among us?

I keep hearing about covering children until they are 26 years old on the parents' insurance. This, like so much of the health care program, is very questionable.

First and foremost, this age is the most healthy time of our lives. Anyone who is not gainfully employed with insurance coverage by 26 years old probably will not be employed most of their lives. Maybe this is a political scam to get a few votes and fill the accounts of insurance companies. This is another screwed up political decision.
