Don't sacrifice interests of many for vocal few

Regarding the Hilton Head Island Airport issue, the question is: Are we going to allow a small, loud, selfish, special-interest group to dictate the quality of life on Hilton Head Island for the majority of residents, who deserve the highest quality of life available? This small group wants to disqualify the consultant's report recommending a runway improvement. Who knows to what length they will go to have their way. To put the recommendation into perspective, the recommended addition is approximately a six-iron shot for the average golfer. There is great danger in an uninformed public.
