Nikki Haley's ethics too elastic for electing

I noticed that Nikki Haley's "defense" of her tax problems made no mention of the time she did not send to the government taxes withheld from employees' paychecks. This is an entirely different matter than paying one's own taxes late.

That money withheld was not hers; it was the government's. Diverting it for company use is no different in principle than an attorney using escrow account money for his own benefit or a county clerk of court using federal money earmarked for children's programs to pay her husband's salary.

Haley's ethics are way too elastic for someone in public office and render her unfit to be governor.
