Afternoon showers and thunderstorms could bring between a tenth and quarter of an inch of rainfall to the Lowcountry, according to the National Weather Service.
Wednesday starts off with sunshine, however, and the high temperature is expected to reach 88 degrees. Increasing clouds are forecast to creep in during the afternoon with a calm wind becoming five to eight mph, as well.
Showers and thunderstorms are likely after 5 pm and remain possible until 11 pm. Otherwise, the forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies overnight with a low around 70 and a south wind around five mph becoming calm.
