Police in Hanahan, S.C., had some fun this week, arresting Elsa the Snow Queen of "Frozen" as part of a publicity stunt by a local party planning company.
As the (relatively) bitter chill of last week's cold front settled in, event planners at Glass Slipper Productions had the idea of putting their Elsa costume to good use, reports WCIV, the ABC affiliate in Mount Pleasant. With a local photographer and the police department on board, they staged the arrest of the Disney character at the scene of her "crime," a local fountain that had frozen solid.
The suspect was freed after a staged bond hearing (insert "Let It Go" joke here) because the fountain thawed, removing the evidence.
The idea was born when a Glass Slipper Productions employee came across a similar stunt in Kentucky.
