A man walking on Saluda Street in Rock Hill early Saturday morning was shot in the right hip, according to a Rock Hill police report.
The 25-year-old victim said he was walking home from his cousin’s house about 3 a.m. when he heard gunshots. He tried to hide his head but noticed he was bleeding from the hip, the man told police.
A passerby drove the Rock Hill man to Piedmont Medical Center, where police were called. The man said he has never been in a gang and does not know why anyone would try to injure him. He said the shots may have come from a sport utility vehicle such as a Chevrolet Tahoe or a Chevrolet Suburban.
