Sheriff: Four people charged in bust of Lexington Co. meth lab

Lexington authorities raided a home on Irvin Jumper Street near Gaston Wednesday and found evidence of methamphetamine production. Four people at the house were arrested and charged with several counts related to the making and distribution of methamphetamine, Lexington County Sheriff James Metts said in a news release.

Charged were three resident of the house: Stephen Jack Bostic,57; Crystal Marie Padgett, 30; and, Bryan Keith Sheppard, 38, all of 585 Irvin Jumper Street, Gaston. Also charged was Rallie Ray Quarles, 39, of Swansea.

Officers with the Lexington County Multi-Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team said they found reaction vessels used to make meth at the rear of the house. A bag of meth in it allegedly was also found in Stephen Bostic’s pants pocket.

The four Lexington County residents were being held at the Lexington County Detention Center Thursday on bonds ranging from $175,000 to $185,000.
