A Lodge man was killed Thursday afternoon in a single-vehicle wreck in Sheldon near the Hampton County line, according to the Beaufort County Coroner's Office.
Stephen Todd Kinard, 47, of Lodge was killed after running off River Road near Sugar Hill Landing Road around 3:40 p.m. Thursday, Deputy Coroner David Ott said.
Kinard was driving south on River Road in a 1994 Toyota 4Runner when he ran off the road, overcorrected and his truck overturned, according to an S.C. Highway Patrol report.

Kinard was wearing a seatbelt, but suffered fatal injuries in the crash. His body has been sent to the Medical University of South Carolina for an autopsy, and a cause of death is still pending, Ott said.
River Road remained "partially blocked" at 7 p.m., according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.
