Fripp Audubon Club will host a program Feb. 26 with speaker Jerry Touval, who manages the Latin America Smart Infrastructure Program for The Nature Conservancy, according to a release.
The program will focus on important areas for neotropical migrants in Latin America and talk about the strategies underway for critical habitat conservation focusing on Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, the Colombian Andes and the Brazilian Amazon.
Mark Robertson, the executive director of TNC in South Carolina, will also talk about updates on habitat conservation efforts throughout the state.
"Conserving the Wintering Grounds -- The Nature Conservancy's Work in Latin America," will begin with a 6 p.m. meet-and-greet followed by the presentation at 6:30 p.m. at the Fripp Community Center, 222 Tarpon Blvd.
