Red Cedar Elementary School in Bluffton has been named one of five elementary-level finalists for the 2015 Palmetto's Finest Schools Awards.
It is the only Beaufort County School District school to make it to the final round.
Three middle and three high schools from around the state were also named finalists. The S.C. Association of School Administrators presents the awards each year to two elementary schools, one middle school and one high school that "offer the best in innovative, effective educational programs."
This year's winners will be announced during a live S.C. ETV broadcast March 24.
