Bluffton High School JROTC will sponsor a community yard sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 20 in the parking lot of Bluffton High School, 12 H.E. McCracken Circle. Parking lot spaces are available for $25 or $40 for two. The JROTC Booster Club will be selling hotdogs, hamburgers and baked goods. FCA Fields of Faith is Wednesday at the stadium. Hear young men and women sharing their faith and challenging their peers to be in scripture and prayer daily. All are welcome. Hot dogs and snacks will be served from 6:15 to 7 p.m., and the event will be from 7 to 8:15 p.m.
The Booster Club will host its fifth annual silent auction to raise money for the athletic program. This year will feature an online auction today through Friday. The auction is open to all and may be viewed at www.32auctions.com/hhca. Online bidding begins 9 a.m. today.
The Booster Club will host a silent auction during the homecoming game Friday against Thomas Heyward. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. The event is open to the public. Tickets at the gate are $6 for adults and $4 for students. The auction opens at 6 p.m. and closes at the end of halftime.
The Zonta and Key clubs are teaming with Hilton Head Island Community Church for their annual Clothing Connection Oct. 20. Donations of gently used, clean clothing and household linens are needed and are being collected in the front office of the school. Men's, women's, boy's and girl's clothing; all sizes baby through adult are needed. Household linens include pillows, blankets, sheets and towels. Brown paper lunch bags will be decorated by our lower school students with a drawing or favorite Bible verse. Then they will fill the bags with hygiene products (shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, etc.) or school supplies. Drop off donations in the front office by Friday. The filled bags will be distributed to local families and individuals in need at Clothing Connection.
