The Upper School Quiz Bowl Team captured first place in the SCISA regional competition held Nov. 10 at Beaufort Academy. Team members are: Patrick Ferris, Michael Bible, Christopher Huckabee, Eddie Shacklett, Nathan Cheung, Pete Olsson, Katherine Neal and Lily Westergaard.
The pre-kindergarten and kindergarten Thanksgiving play will be at 11 a.m. Friday. The first and second grade play will be at 1 p.m. Friday.

BMS will celebrate American Education Week this week. The Parent Action Council will honor faculty and support staff with a breakfast Tuesday.

The school's first showcase will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday throughout the building.
Dr. Gregory-Smalls' health classes raised $465 for breast cancer awareness in their walk-athon Oct. 27-28. Proceeds will go to the Keyserling Cancer Center.
MOSSY OAKS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
A traditional Thanksgiving lunch will be served Thursday to students and parents who make reservations.

Empty Bowls is a grass-roots effort to raise money and awareness to end hunger. Riverview and the Lowcountry Food Bank are working together to bring the effort to Beaufort. A viewing and silent auction of bowls made by children and local artists will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at the school. A simple meal will be served and donations to the food bank will be collected.
ST. PETER CATHOLIC SCHOOL

Chick-fil-A Spirit Night will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday.

THOMAS HEYWARD ACADEMY
Thomas Heyward Academy has received a $750 grant from the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance program to support the school's middle school math department. Mixson Oil and Handy Dan's of Ridgeland worked with school officials to secure the grant, one of 2,400 available to U.S. schools served by Exxon or Mobil stations.
