Project Connect is a partnership between the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce and local schools to help teachers get supplies or services.

Wishes granted

HILTON HEAD ISLAND INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

• Nurse Ann recently had her wish for tissues and Band-Aids granted by Wal-Mart.

• Third- through fifth-grade gifted and talented teacher Trish Smoot recently had her wish for highlighters, Expo markers, Crayola thin markers, large Sharpie markers and two-sided tape granted by Wal-Mart.

HILTON HEAD ISLAND SCHOOL FOR THE CREATIVE ARTS

• Second-grade teacher Kristen Lewis recently had her wish for an electric pencil sharpener granted by Wal-Mart.

• Brooke Nyland, ninth through 12th grade, business education: six 50-foot ethernet cords, digital camera
