A 30-year-old Hardeeville man was charged Thursday with three counts of pointing a firearm at a person after an argument in Ridgeland this month, according to a Jasper County Sheriff's Office news release.

Nathaniel D. Wright drove to a home on South Logan Street on March 5 and threatened the home's occupants with a gun during an argument about money, the release said. After making the threat, he ran away, according to the release.

On Wednesday, the Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Marshals Service searched Wright's garage apartment on Deerfield Road, seizing several guns, more than $1,700 in cash and what authorities believe to be narcotics, the release said.

Wright was charged with two counts of possession of a stolen weapon and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

Officers detained two others at the home. Curtis Scott, 23, of Ridgeland was charged with intent to distribute a controlled substance, and a 19-year-old Hardeeville woman was charged with hindering an arrest, the release said.
