Two people face drug charges following a search of a Hilton Head Island apartment early Friday that turned up marijuana, crack cocaine and other contraband, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff's Office news release.
Juan Marquis Clarke, 23, and Rosetta Shatice Jones, 25, were arrested after a 5 a.m. search warrant at unit 107 of Hilton Head Gardens on Southwood Park Drive.
Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office had received information that illegal drugs were being sold from the apartment, the release said. The investigators made controlled drug purchases from the apartment, which allowed them to obtain a search warrant.
Clarke, Jones and two small children were in the apartment at the time.

Sheriff's deputies found and seized a Luger 9mm handgun, 2.7 grams of marijuana, 0.1 grams of crack cocaine, 0.2 grams of powder cocaine and various pills.
The children are in the care of family members, the release said.
The pair face charges of possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine, possession of crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute controlled substances and possession with intent to distribute within a half-mile of a school.
Clarke was also in violation of an active trespass notice for the complex, and was charged with trespass after notice.
Jones has posted bond according to the Beaufort County jail log. Clarke remains in jail, pending prosecution.
Additional charges may be sought, pending the chemical analysis of the seized drugs, according to a news release.
