A Bluffton driver was involved in a crash that seriously injured multiple people Tuesday afternoon in Savannah, according to a Savannah Police Department news release.
The wreck happened around 4 p.m. at a stop sign on Park Avenue at Montgomery Street and involved three vehicles, the release said. A Ford F-650 tow truck driven by a 55-year-old Bluffton man stopped at the sign and was waved through the intersection by a driver of a Honda Civic who was waiting to turn left onto Park Avenue. The town trucker driver saw an oncoming Cadillac on Montgomery Street, but continued through the intersection, the release said.
The Cadillac struck the side of the tow truck, resulting in the tow truck striking the Civic by a 27-year-old Savannah woman. Multiple occupants of the Cadillac were seriously injured. Their identities were not released.
No charges have have been filed and the investigation of is continuing.
