Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band will perform once again during the annual fundraiser in Beaufort to support wounded veterans.
Previously called Lt. Dan Weekend, this year's festivities are being referred to as Lt. Dan Week 4 to reflect a week of activities and events, spokesman Dick Clarke said.
Sinise, who played Lt. Dan in the movie "Forrest Gump," has brought his band, named after his character, to the event each year.
The event will be Sept. 9 to 15, with Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band playing Saturday, Sept. 14. Entertainment for that Friday has not been set, but Clarke said organizers are trying to arrange a "very recognizable name."

They also plan additional events over several months, including a silent auction and banquet on Hilton Head Island and a progressive dinner in downtown Beaufort, Clarke said.
"We want to continue to keep people aware of the needs of our severely wounded veterans," he said.
Last year's event raised about $200,000, half of which went toward expenses and the other half toward therapy and equipment for veterans. Another $100,000 of in-kind donations was provided for things such as lodging, food and transportation for the veterans.
A first-ever retreat for caregivers of wounded veterans was held last weekend. The caregivers were given an opportunity to meet each other, relax, and learn how to better take care of themselves and their veterans, Clarke said.
Advance, discounted tickets for Sinise and his band are on sale at www.LDW4.org for $25. That price is expected to increase June 1.
