In photos and video, here’s a look at the early stages of recovery from Hurricane Matthew at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island. Matthew swept up the coast Oct. 7 and 8, its eyewall coming within 5 to 10 miles of Hilton Head Island before making landfall at McClellanville north of Charleston. These images were captured Oct. 9.
