Over $3,000 worth of figurines and designer luggage were stolen from a Burton home likely in July.
The burglar took 11 All God’s Children figurines, four pieces of Louis Vuitton luggage, nine decorative plates, a garbage can and a cooler, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office report. The stolen items were valued at about $3,325, the report said.
There were “several other more valuable items” including a laptop and a television inside the home that were not taken, according to the report.
The former residents of the Pleasant Farm Drive home passed away and the couple’s daughter has been looking after the place, according to the report. She was last at the home in late June and returned on Aug. 2. to find the cabinets had been disturbed and the house had been “rummaged through,” according to the report.

The house had recently been foreclosed upon and the locks were scheduled to be changed in early July, according to the report. There was no sign of forced entry into the home, it said.
Deputies were able to lift fingerprints from the home which could potentially help with the investigation, according to the report.
