A Beaufort man was arrested Saturday after investigators determined a car at his home was being used to traffic drugs, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators searched a 1999 Oldsmobile at Travaris Taiyron Simmons' Poppy Hill Road home, according to Sgt. Robin McIntosh, and found about 40 grams of cocaine, 24 grams of marijuana, digital scales and three handguns.
Simmons, 21, was charged with trafficking cocaine, simple possession of marijuana, and possession of a firearm or knife during a violent crime, according to the Beaufort County Detention Center log.
Simmons was released Sunday on a $75,620 bond, according to the jail log.
