Hilton Head Hospital has received an award from the American Heart Association/American College of Cardiology Foundation for its quality improvement measures for heart failure patients.
This is the third consecutive year the hospital has earned a Get With the Guidelines Heart Failure Gold-Plus Quality Achievement Award.
The hospital met specific measures for diagnosing and treating heart failure, according to a news release. The measures include proper use of medications and aggressive risk-reduction therapies, the release said.
