Nancy Hadley of the S.C. Department of Natural Resources will discuss the importance, status and restoration of the state's oyster reefs at 3 p.m. April 23 at the Coastal Discovery Museum.
Hadley directs DNR's Shellfish Management Office and oversees the S.C. Oyster Restoration and Enhancement program, according to the museum.
Cost is $7 per participant, and reservations are required by calling 843-689-6767, ext. 223. The museum is at 70 Honey Horn Drive on Hilton Head Island.
