Woman charged with falsifying details in Easter Sunday fatal shooting

A woman has been arrested in connection with the Easter Sunday shooting death of a man in Burton.

Natalie Michelle Garriett, 42, has been charged with one count of accessory to a felony after the fact, according to the news release from the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.

Garriett allegedly purposely falsified details and key participants in the killing of 40-year-old Darryl McArthur Greene. She has been released from the Beaufort County Jail on a $25,000 recognizance bond.

Greene was shot several times about 5:30 p.m. Sunday on Staffwood Lane. Investigators are following "promising leads" as they piece together the incident, according to the news release.

No suspects have been identified.
