A man who wrecked his truck Saturday morning in Bluffton, injuring himself and two passengers, has been charged with felony driving under the influence.
Scott Matthew Schroeder, 29, of Bluffton was driving southbound on All Joy Road at about 3 a.m. with two passengers when he passed another vehicle, lost control and ran off the road, according to Sgt. Bob Beres of the S.C. Highway Patrol.
The truck rolled several times before stopping upright, Beres said. Schroeder and a 23-year-old passenger, both of whom were wearing seat belts, were transported by ambulance to Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah. A 26-year-old man, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the truck. He was flown by helicopter to the same hospital.
The condition of the passengers was unavailable Tuesday evening.
