The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for the Law Enforcement Explorers program from people between the ages of 14 and 20.
The program aims to recruit and prepare teens interested in a career in law enforcement and provides hands-on training.
Applicants must be drug-free, have no criminal record, have good grades and a clean driving record. Explorer Post No. 278 will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. every other Thursday, starting in January.
