Two boats in a storage yard on Lake Linden Drive in Bluffton were found with severed fuel lines and empty gas tanks Sunday, according to Beaufort County Sheriff's Office reports.
One of the boat owners called a deputy Sunday morning after discovering $36 worth of gas had been siphoned, and the fuel line had about $50 in damage, a report said.
While investigating, the deputy found another boat with similar damage and called its owner. About 25 gallons of gas, about $90 worth, had been taken from that boat, the report said.
