The S.C. Department of Natural Resources is asking anglers to turn in red-snapper carcasses to help with biological-data collection.
Today through Sunday, recreational anglers can harvest red snapper. Carcasses can be dropped off at the Skull Creek Boathouse Restaurant at 397 Squire Pope Road on Hilton Head Island. Freezers with the DNR logo have been placed there and can be accessed 24 hours a day, according to a news release.
