A fire that broke out at townhouses at about 3 p.m Tuesday in Oldfield Mews in Bluffton severely damaged one of them.
Firefighters had the blaze under control in about 40 minutes, according to the Bluffton Township Fire District.
Of the six adjoining townhouses, the middle unit was heavily damaged, Capt. Randy Hunter said. The town homes on either side sustained some smoke and water damage.
The fire is being investigated by the Bluffton Township Fire Marshal's Office. Bluffton firefighters were assisted by the Hardeeville Fire Department and Beaufort County EMS.
No one was injured, and American Red Cross workers were on scene to assist. Hunter said he is not sure how many people will be displaced as a result of the blaze.
