Sea Pines to raise money for preserve, Scouts

The first Sea Pines community garage sale will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the trolley parking lot on Greenwood Drive.

The event will raise money for the Forest Preserve Foundation and Boy Scout Troop 245, which will sell breakfast. It will be coordinated by the Association of Sea Pines Plantation Property Owners and Community Services Associates Inc.

Proceeds from the breakfast will benefit the troop's Eagle Scout blue bird project within Sea Pines, conducted with the Sea Pines Forest Preserve Foundation, according to CSA.

Only Sea Pines property owners can be garage-sale vendors, but the event will open to the public. Entry into Sea Pines without a current decal or visitor pass will require the purchase of a $5 daily visitors pass.
