A man wanted for a May 20 armed robbery in Savannah was arrested Tuesday in Bluffton, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
Dwayne Smith, 31, of Savannah and formerly of Bluffton, was sought on three warrants by the Savannah Chatham Metro Police Department, which charged him with aggravated assault, armed robbery and possession of a firearm.
He was arrested without incident by the Savannah Office of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Beaufort/Jasper Multi Agency Drug Task Force, the Marshals Service said.
He was taken to the Beaufort County Detention Center to await extradition to Georgia, the service said.
