A one-car crash in which a Jeep overturned blocked traffic on Trask Parkway for more than an hour Friday night.
Firefighters from the Burton Fire District and paramedics from Beaufort County EMS were called at about 10 p.m. to a median near the parkway's intersection with Bruce K. Smalls Drive after reports of an overturned vehicle, said Dan Byrne, district spokesman.
Initial reports indicated the SUV was on its roof and that there were several passengers trapped inside calling for help, Byrne said.
Once on the scene, firefighters and paramedics found only the car's female driver standing near the overturned vehicle. She sustained only minor injuries and was not taken to the hospital, Byrne said.

"There was heavy damage to the vehicle," Byrne said. "At this point, we're not sure what happened, or how she wasn't injured or how she even got out of the car. It was a pretty dramatic-looking accident."
Byrne said all four lanes of Trask Parkway were closed for about an hour as emergency workers cleared the roadway.
