Staff Sgt. Will Angelo hands Michael McMullin a paintball gun Tuesday as Will Garmon puts on his helmet during the Citizen's Police Academy sponsored by the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office. Academy participants McMullin and Garmon were given the same information an officer would receive upon arriving at a crime scene. As the simulation unfolded, they had to assess the situation and react.
