Several flu clinics have been scheduled in Beaufort County and surrounding areas by the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control.
Getting vaccinated is the best way for those 6 months and older to prevent the flu, according to a DHEC news release.
DHEC Region 8 will hold flu clinics for adults and children ages 3 to 18 years old at all health departments in Beaufort, Colleton and Hampton counties. Flu vaccine for infants and toddlers ages 6 months to 35 months will be available at the Bluffton and Hampton health departments.

The cost is $25, payable by cash or check; no debit or credit cards will be accepted. Medicare Part B and Medicaid will cover the fee for those who are eligible, the release said.
