Hilton Head Hospital will offer prostate-cancer screenings from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 21 as part of Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.
The screenings cost $15 and will consist of a blood test for the prostate specific antigen.
Prostate cancer is the second-leading cause of cancer death for men. Among black men, the disease is more prevalent and possibly more aggressive, according to the hospital.
