Tickets go on sale Monday for the 2011 Auldbrass Plantation Tour in Yemassee, to be held Nov. 5 and 6 to benefit the Beaufort County Open Land Trust, which seeks to protect land from development.
Tickets are $85 per person. A picnic lunch at Tomotley Plantation also is available for $15 per person.
Auldbrass is the only plantation among architect Frank Lloyd Wright's 1,000 projects. It is also one of his largest and most complex projects, according to the land trust. Wright worked on it, off and on, from 1938 until his death in 1959.
On Nov. 5, Wright's grandson, Eric Lloyd Wright, will present a lecture at the University of South Carolina Beaufort's Performing Arts Center in Beaufort. Tickets are $50 per person.
