The S.C. State Ports Authority board is set to vote today on a $17 million purchase agreement for the Port of Port Royal property.
An unnamed buyer signed a letter of intent for the state-owned 51-acre property along Battery Creek in late April.
The state Budget and Control Board also must approve the sale.
If the authority and Budget and Control Board give their approval, the buyer would have a due-diligence and inspection period before closing on the property, according to the authority.
