A Hilton Head Island man who was sought as a suspect since a stabbing June 20 at an apartment complex turned himself in Tuesday, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.
Oskar Jadeszko, 24, wanted on charges of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime in connection with the stabbing of 31-year-old Shaun Olechnowicz, called the Sheriff's Office to say he wanted to surrender. Deputies picked him up at the Shoppes on the Parkway without incident, a news release said.
At about 10:30 p.m. June 20, deputies responded to The Dunes on Woodward Avenue, where they found Olechnowicz, whose neck had been cut.
Olechnowicz and Jadeszko had been arguing when Jadeszko pulled a knife and stabbed Olechnowicz, the release said. Witnesses hearing the argument called 911, and Jadeszko ran away.

Olechnowicz wastaken to a Savannah hospital for a life-threatening neck injury and has been treated and released.
