A Hilton Head Island man was killed in a crash on Interstate 26 near Summerville early Tuesday morning after his vehicle overturned, struck several trees and caught fire.
Leo Greenberg, 37, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 4:30 a.m. near mile marker 197, according to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury.
Greenberg was traveling west in a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee when he veered and overcorrected, and his vehicle overturned in the median, according to Lance Cpl. Bob Beres of the S.C. Highway Patrol.
The cause of death was blunt force trauma, Salisbury said.
