Goose Creek 14, Lowcountry Heat 12

The teams combined for 31 hits in a game that took 3 hours and 22 minutes.

Kevin Hickey led Post 185's offense in the loss, collecting five hits. Adam Orischak, Devin McGuinness and DeAnte Scott each had three hits. Patrick Andrews hit his second home run of the season.

Cameron Stoltz took the loss for the Heat, who committed eight errors and left 10 runners on base.

Goose Creek improves to 8-3 in League 1

The Heat (9-7 overall, 6-6 league) play at Beaufort at 7 tonight.

Summerville 6, Beaufort Ospreys 3

Matt Chapman earned the win for Summerville and helped ice the game with a two-run home run in the eighth inning.

Weber Pike was 2 for 3 with an RBI, and Joel Fickes and David Tilton each went 1 for 3 with an RBI for the Ospreys (2-7 League 1).

Joe Fields took the loss for Beaufort, giving up four runs -- only one earned -- in six innings.

Beaufort hosts the Lowcountry Heat at 7 tonight.

Junior Ospreys 9, Summerville 2

Stephen Baggett was 3 for 3 with a home run, and Thomas Smith and Matt Thorpe each went 3 for 4 to lead the Beaufort junior American Legion squad.

Austin Willis-Greene got the win, giving up two runs in four innings. Thorpe pitched three scoreless innings of relief for Beaufort's juniors, who improve to 5-3 and play at Goose Creek on Wednesday.
