Bluffton nonprofit to sell home-cooked meals

Community First will begin selling home-cooked meals prepared by founder Pearla Harvey from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 1215 May River Road in Bluffton.

Contributors can choose grilled chicken or spareribs, with sides and dessert.

The price is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Orders of five or more dinners can be delivered, and Harvey will prepare the dishes every other Saturday.

Proceeds will benefit Community First, which provides GED classes, mentor programs, food and school supplies for local needy.
