Lowcountry Habitat for Humanity will host two family orientation sessions in June. The sessions are the first step in the selection process for a home.
To qualify, families must live in substandard housing, live or work in northern Beaufort County, earn less than 60 percent of the median income, and have a steady income and the ability to repay a zero-interest mortgage, according to a news release.
The sessions will be at 6 p.m. June 9 at Sea Island Presbyterian Church on Lady's Island and June 14 at Riverview Baptist Church in Beaufort.
Attendance is mandatory for potential Habitat partner families.
