A Bluffton man who posted bond after being charged with attempted murder Friday was arrested again Tuesday on additional charges.
Oseas Ivan Munoz, 19, is accused of firing shots at an 18-year-old man and his 51-year-old mother in an incident at Bluffton House Apartments. He has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime for the second time -- one count for each victim, according to Sgt. Robin McIntosh of the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.
The additional charges were filed after he posted a $60,000 bond Sunday, McIntosh wrote in an email. Munoz is now being held for prosecution, according to the county jail log.
Deputies responded to reports of shots fired at about 9:30 p.m. Friday at the complex at 20 Simmonsville Road. A woman told deputies she believed the shots were directed toward her and her son because of a long-standing dispute between her son and a group of men at the apartments, according to a Sheriff's Office news release.
Witnesses identified Munoz as the shooter, the release said.
Authorities continue to seek information about shots fired into a nearby Simmons Cay apartment at about the same time, McIntosh said. No connection between the incidents has emerged, other than the time and close proximity, she said.
