Lady's Island men charged with cocaine
Two Lady's Island men were arrested on multiple drug charges Friday after drug task-force officers found crack cocaine and other drugs at a home on Sheppard Road, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff's Office news release.
Bobby "Big Man" Clark, 35, and Rayford Jerome Singleton, 32, were charged with trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
Clark was released from the county Detention Center on his own recognizance Saturday. Singleton, whose bond was set at $60,000, was released Sunday, according to the jail log.
The Beaufort/Jasper Multi Agency Drug Task Force searched Clark's home at about 9 p.m. Friday and found 27 grams of crack, 743 grams of marijuana, $475 cash and a .44-caliber handgun, a report said.
Drugs found during traffic stop in Bluffton
A Hilton Head Island man faces multiple drug charges after drug task-force officers found cocaine and other drugs in a vehicle he was driving Saturday, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff's Office news release.
Leonard Thomas Brown, 22, is charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, unlawful carrying of a firearm and possession with intent to sell crack cocaine and marijuana. He is in the county Detention Center, with bond set at $100,000, according to the jail log.
Beaufort/Jasper Multi Agency Drug Task Force officers pulled over Brown's car late Saturday near Simmonsville Road in Bluffton, finding about 35 grams of cocaine, six grams of crack cocaine, five grams of marijuana and a .32-caliber handgun, according to the release.
A passenger was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
