Nonprofit health and human-service organizations in Beaufort, Hampton, Jasper and surrounding counties can apply for the annual Combined Federal Campaign, the only authorized workplace solicitation of military and federal employees.
Applicants must demonstrate a substantial local presence and meet eligibility and public-accountability standards, according to a news release from the United Way of the Lowcountry, which administers the program locally.
Applications are available from Pamela Reading-Smith at the United Way office in Beaufort at 843-982-3040 or online at www.opm.gov/cfc. Applications must be sent to United Way's Beaufort office by 5 p.m. March 1.
