One of two pedestrians struck by a pickup truck last month while crossing Carteret Street remains in the hospital.
Michael Ham, 67, was listed in fair condition Wednesday at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Ham and his wife, Katherine, 63, of Lady's Island were crossing Carteret Street on Jan. 29 near the intersection of Port Republic Street when they were struck, according to Beaufort police. Katherine Ham was released Feb. 4 from Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
The 88-year-old driver of the pickup was ticketed for failing to yield right of way to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
