Real estate company moves uptown

Enticed by more accessible parking and a newer building, a local real estate company recently relocated from downtown Beaufort to the city's uptown district.

ERA Evergreen Real Estate moved from 206 Carteret St. to 1001 Boundary St., Suite B in December, broker-in-charge Laura Blencoe said.

The old location near the intersection of Carteret and Port Republic streets posed parking problems for both clients and the company's staff of more than 20 Beaufort-area agents, Blencoe said.

"We have parking at our new location, so it's more convenient for our agents to meet with clients and prospects," Blencoe said.

Blencoe said the company is excited to be a part of the uptown business district and has had several walk-in customers since moving to the new location.

ERA Evergreen Real Estate Co. also has offices on Hilton Head Island and in Bluffton.
