A bomb threat Thursday prompted an evacuation of the Beaufort Walmart store.
Beaufort Police Chief Matt Clancy said the threat was called in about 2:20 p.m. to the store on Robert Smalls Parkway.
Employees helped the customers evacuate as police cordoned off the area, Clancy said.
The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office's Bomb Squad found no evidence of an explosive, Clancy said.
