A Lady's Island woman is recovering at Beaufort Memorial Hospital after she and her husband were struck by a pickup truck Saturday as they crossed Carteret Street.
A hospital spokeswoman listed Katherine Ham, 63, in good condition Thursday. She and her husband, Michael, were struck by a Ford F-150 pickup while crossing near the intersection of Port Republic Street.
Michael Ham, 67, was transferred to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and was listed in critical condition Thursday, an MUSC spokeswoman said.
The driver of the pickup, an 88-year-old Beaufort man, was ticketed Monday for failing to yield right of way to pedestrian in a crosswalk, according to Beaufort police.
