Two Bluffton middle-schoolers charged Tuesday

Two Bluffton Middle School seventh-graders were each charged with possession of a weapon on school property after school police resource officers found knives concealed in their shoes, according to a Bluffton Police Department news release.

An anonymous source at the school at 30 New Mustang Drive told a staff member and the school police officer that two 12-year-old boys had knives, according to the release.

During questioning and a search, police found knives hidden in each boy's shoe, the release said. The students were charged with possession of a weapon on school property -- a felony -- and released to their parents.
