Catalytic converters stolen from business vehicles

Five catalytic converters were stolen late Monday or early Tuesday from vans and SUVs owned by businesses on Hilton Head Island and in Bluffton, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff's Office report.

Two of the vehicle parts worth about $800 were stolen overnight Monday from two vans owned by Rick Bent Flooring on Enterprise Lane on the island, and another worth about $1,000 was stolen from a Molly Maid van on Cardinal Court Road, the report said.

Another two converters worth $1,000 were stolen from Toyota SUVs parked at the Auto Doctor on Fording Island Road in Bluffton. Sheriff's Office investigators have not made any arrests in the incidents.
